Ziggy is a simple wheelchair accessory for a complex human problem: communication between caregivers and wheelchair users. Over 60.000 elderly with dementia live in care homes and face this problem daily. We want to bring this idea developed by engineers, clinicians and wheelchair users to the people who need it, fulfilling our mission statement. Through EU funding, we will work on the certification of Ziggy as a medical device, enabling us to bring it to market, and scale it up to ensure the users who need it have access to it.
